Matt Jain Photography
Austin, TX

Throughout his life, Matt has always been involved with the arts and earned a Bachelor of Arts & Sciences degree at University of North Texas. He picked up photography as a hobby in high school, and on New Years Day 2016, began his professional journey as the primary photographer for the startup TipCow in Austin, TX.

TipCow’s mission was to revive tipping culture, in order to help out local artists, in the digital age. At its launch, Matt was tasked with photographing Austin’s vibrant Live Music scene, writing blogs about the artists and their shows, and offering the free promotional material to them as a means of supporting the local music scene.

Within the first month, the Texas Punk band Hans Gruber and the Die Hards used Matt’s photo on the inside cover of their self-titled EP. And only months later, KUTX (Austin’s local public broadcasting radio station) featured Matt’s work in their article about the local artist Henry & The Invisibles.

After TipCow, Matt flew out to Boston, Las Vegas, and various cities in Texas, getting further involved with Wedding Photography.

In 2019, Matt moved to Denver, CO to further expand his horizons with Photography and to capture the majestic Rocky Mountains, feeding his love for nature and landscapes. Just as the world went into Quarantine, he became an essential worker and took a step in a new direction working for Virtuance— photographing the beautiful homes in the Greater Denver Area’s Real Estate Market.

In October 2020, Matt returned home to Austin to be close to family during these trying times and is still finding new ways to hone and widen his photography skills.
